National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
The Fields Family Foundation gives to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Good Shepherd Services. Richard Fields is a secretary for NCMEC, which is a global leader in helping families locate missing children. Good Shepherd Services organization is a social charity connecting at-risk children in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx to community programs that will help them succeed. In 2007, Richard Fields sponsored a program with FAO Schwarz toy store that brought the holiday season early for Good Shepherd children.
The New York City Police Foundation
Richard Fields donates to The New York City Police Foundation, which eases the burden on recently graduated police officers in paying off their college debts while working in law enforcement.
Farm Aid
Richard Fields is a donor to Farm Aid, a nonprofit organization that puts on rock concerts to raise money and awareness for struggling farm families throughout the United States. Richard Fields is a member of the Farm Aid Board.
University of Rochester Medical Center for Muscular Dystrophy
In 2007, Richard Fields donated $7.1 million dollars to the University of Rochester Medical Center. Richard Fields' donation will go toward research and the creation of clinical center dedicated to understanding and finding a cure for facioscapulohumeral dystrophy (FSHD), which is a type of muscular dystrophy.
American Quarter Horse Foundation
Richard Fields is also a contributor to the American Quarter Horse Foundation, which presents scholarships to competitors in the annual American Quarter Horse World Competition that might otherwise be unable to compete without proper funding.
